11-Sep-2014Heritage Open Days: Book Launch

We are thrilled to be hosting a pre-release event for a new Tudor novel, which includes scenes set in Dragon Hall.  'The Heretic' by Henry Vyner-Brooks is due to come out later this year.  The plot is set around St Benet's Abbey, Norwich and Antwerp and follows the trials, fortunes and friendships of a Benedictine monk, his leprous brother, three destitute Anabaptist children and their imprisoned mother, an aged Dutch eel catcher and his blind sister, an ambitious abbot, a wayward novice and a teenage whore!  There are also appearances by King Henry, Thomas Cromwell, Archbishop Cranmer and other notable historical figures.

Limited tickets are available to see Dragon Hall and meet costumed guides who will recount the history of the building.  Also, meet the author of 'The Heretic'.  The new book will be on sale and a paybar will be open.
