Dragon Hall is not just another standard conference venue; it is an inspirational setting with the wow factor that will get your creative juices flowing. It is also a great place for a variety of performances such as music, theatre, poetry, comedy and dance and is often used for fairs, markets etc.
The Great Hall
The beautiful and atmospheric Great Hall has a stunning timber roof and original carved dragon. It is divided into two sections with a partition and doorways between the two sides. It can seat up to 130 for formal dining (using both sides of the hall) or more if you want a more informal and casual event. It is also an impressive setting for wedding and civil partnership ceremonies. The main hall can seat up to 120 or the more intimate south hall will hold up to 80 guests.
The Gallery
This space incorporates the original exterior of Dragon Hall within a light and airy contemporary glass extension, and is the perfect marriage of the medieval with the modern. It overlooks the beautiful courtyard garden and is ideal for welcome drinks or a celebratory glass of champagne after a wedding ceremony. It is also where you can dance to live music or a DJ. The Gallery is usually hired in conjunction with the main hall and the garden, but may may be hired out for small receptions or gatherings.
Meeting Room
The
Meeting Room is a suitable for a range of activities including meetings,
talks, workshops and even children's parties. It is located on the of
the ground floor of this historic complex in part of the building that
was once a hall house. The room has direct access to the courtyard
garden.
Courtyard Garden
Dragon Hall is one of only a few city centre venues that has a private and enclosed garden. Our beautiful courtyard garden provides an additional outdoor space that can be used for your event. The garden is also an ideal venue for outdoor performances - in good weather. Please contact us if you are interested in using the garden for a performance.
Location Dragon Hall is situated on King Street, by the River Wensum. We are only 5 minutes walk from Norwich city centre and 10 minutes walk from the railway station.
